RBgrid v1.1.3 is out. A small release on top of v1.1.2: the web app now opens at webapp.rbgrid.io with nothing to install, and the hub answers browser requests only from sites you allow.
Get it
- Firmware: the v1.1.3 release has the image set for a fresh USB flash, each file with its SHA-256, and
main_release.binfor an over-the-air update. - Web app: open webapp.rbgrid.io, or install
rbgrid-ui_v1.1.3.zipfrom the same page onto the hub as described in Build & flash. - Already on v1.1.x? Update over the air from the app (Settings → Hub firmware) with
main_release.bin; your Wi-Fi, settings and history are kept. If you use the app installed on the hub, install the new package afterwards. - All releases: github.com/robotdyn-dimmer/RBgrid/releases.
What's new
- The web app at webapp.rbgrid.io. Open it on a computer on the same network as the hub, enter the hub's address and choose Connect. The browser asks once to allow access to devices on your local network; allow it. Your data goes straight from the browser to the hub, not through our servers. Checked in Chrome and Edge.
- Browser access is an allow-list now. The hub answers browser requests only from its own pages and from the sites you list. Before, any website could use the hub from a visitor's browser.
- The RBgrid app (
https://webapp.rbgrid.io,https://demo.rbgrid.io) is always allowed and doesn't take a slot.
- The RBgrid app (
- Add up to 8 of your own sites in Settings → Browser access (CORS). Allow any website brings back the old behaviour, and a hub already set that way keeps it.
- Web app 1.1.3:
- the browser-access panel shows the always-allowed sites separately from your own list;
- if the page can't reach the hub, the app suggests allowing local-network access;
- the setup wizard asks before its quick tariff replaces a fuller tariff plan.
Fixed
- Economics: "Where the money goes" no longer shows energy as money; the standby share is now a share of the month's consumption.
- Economics: the net-metering block is hidden while net metering is off; the progressive block shows only when the hub uses one.
- App hints name the real Settings panels.
